Arctic North!!!

That's right, we're back from the Arctic North! We even have a patch to prove it. It says"We survived camping in freezing weather". Never thought I'd get one of those living in Florida but this weekend we definitely earned it. It was extremely cold when we went to bed in our tent on Friday night but during the night it really dropped. When revelie was blown at 6:49 am (yes 6:49) It was around 34-37 degrees. Needless to say we were very bundled up when we went to the flag raising at 7:45. Believe it or not I let the bugler live. After only a few hours sleep he was the last person I wanted to see at 6:49 but he played his little tune and moved on to wake other unsuspecting campers.

Tanner had a great time on his first cub scout campout. It was Tiger Growl weekend at Camp La-No-Che in Eustis. He couldn't wait to shoot the bb gun and the bow and arrow. We hiked and cooked our own food and slept in the tent. Well, I take that back, he and Dew slept in the tent. I layed in the tent and tried to sleep and keep from freezing to death. The ground is very hard and cold and I feel very old today! I let Dew and Tanner have the air mattress since Dew has such a bad back. My sweet hubby bought a king size air mattress as soon as we got home today so next time we all sleep on the mattress! Thanks honey!

The kids are off all week for Thanksgiving so Taylor is watching Tanner for me tomorrow so I can work. He loves Taylor and can't wait to spend the morning with her. Watch out Taylor!

Oh well, I need sleep so I'll post a few shots from this weekend and I'm off to bed.

See ya!
